We have an announcement to make!
We won (officially) for the first time this
season! What waht!
Our softball team is a coed team and we play in the City Rec league here. Let us just give you the low down on how awesome this game was. It started out like any other game, we were down a few runs. But then, top of the third inning, there was a line drive to second base, Mimi is our second baseman/woman? The runner on second totally did not expect her to catch it and started taking off for third base, booyeah!
Mimi doubled him up like there is no tomorrow.
Now to the bottom of the fourth, we were down 5 runs and scored six to take a one run lead. Mind you this is our first lead of the season so we were pretty excited. I head to the mound in the top of the fifth totally calm, yeah right I was so excited, this was it! I walked the first girl and was bumming. The next guy pops out to right center and we try to double the girl off at first but our first baseman dropped it. Then a single. Then a little pop up to me, the pitcher (I can really pull the string on those 12 foot arch change-ups). Then a grounder to short but our shortstop throws to first! When he could have thrown to third! Bases juiced and some guy comes to the plate, I thought for sure we'd have to bat again. Toss him the floater and he crushes a
full swing bunt three feet in front of the plate! I sprint in and tag home.
We didn't know what to do. So we decided to do what any super star softball players would do after winning the big game pushing our record to 2-4(the other win was by forfeit, but we would have destroyed 'em), we went home and played super mario world on our Super Nintendo (SNES).
That Yoshi has one mean appetite.

mimi? lincoln? the names sound familiar, but i am having a hard time putting the names to faces.
