Why is everything "breaking news" these days anyways? What about a news show following up a story and getting all excited saying "already broken news" or "broke last week and we're here to tell you more about it news"?

Breaking News!!
I got an interview invite to UNLV which I am pretty excited about basically because I know the school the best, see previous post of priceless certificate, and they have a joint MBA program which is sweet. My first interview is next Wednesday at Case Western, pretty excited.
We hiked Mt. Timpanogas the other week and feel pretty cool about it. The view from the top is pretty spectacular. Here is a photo:
