... lincoln took me to dinner at the grill room.
little did i know he was going to propose to me that night.
it all began with him suggesting we take a short walk to the Sundance pond
before dinner since we arrived a little "early" for our reservation.
it was cold and flurry of snow was falling.
despite this fact, i agreed to take a little stroll.
it was beautiful.
the Sundance rehearsal hall was elegantly lit with christmas lights,
the moonlight made the snow flurries sparkle,
and the stream was silently flowing.
we hugged.
shortly after, lincoln pulled himself away and got on his knees.
my eyes met his in complete surprise.
i mean complete 'jaw-dropping-on-the-floor-ish' surprise.
(we hadn't even picked out a ring yet and lincoln only knew the style i liked at that point)
everything was moving at a thousand beat.
then i heard him say, "will you marry me?"
i was lost for words.
i pulled him up and as i hugged him i said "of course"
indeed not the traditional answer you would expect and i believe this confused lincoln.
so i had to reassure him with a kiss and a "yes"!
(needless to say, i was shocked and it wasn't really fair that i didn't get to practice my line before)

babe, thanks for asking me to marry you that night.
marrying you was the best decision i ever made.
and thanks for being my best hubby buddy!
love you!

glad we took these afterwards at your condo as a proof.
also, good job picking out the perfect ring for me!
